The Monday Refresh 6/22/26

Happy Monday from a very rainy and dreary Buffalo. Honestly, I’m okay with a rainy day. Sometimes the constant sunshine of Summer (which I’m so grateful for) makes it hard for me to slow down and sometimes I really need to.

I don’t feel like I’m missing out on the season but cuddling up with my laptop today and getting a bunch of work done.

I hope all the dads and father figures had a great Father’s Day and if the weekend was a hard one for you, I hope you found some time to take care of yourself.

In Stormy Weather

I have been working my way through my Summer TBR and it’s felt so good to be back in a reading groove again. I’m currently reading and loving an ARC of In Stormy Weather. It’s out July 14! One of my favorite things to read about in books is a big storm so this book about two weather obsessed rivals/enemies (he’s also her best friend’s brother) is right up my alley.

The Lowe Job

And my current audiobook that I just started this morning! It is juicy and messy so far.

We started Company Retreat the other night (we don’t know what to do with ourselves now that we’ve finished Summer House & are caught up on In the City) and it’s so funny! We loved Jury Duty and so far, I think this one is great too!

This is a MUST WATCH!!! It’s on Netflix and we loved it. It does deal with sibling loss and grief, but it so funny and charming and romantic. Might be my favorite movie of the year so far!

I haven’t been listening to too many podcasts lately as I’ve been back in an audiobook era. I did tune into Books Beach and Beyond but typically only listen if I’m interested in the guest!

• The Hill House Semi-Annual sale started and if you’ve been thinking about getting a piece, this is a great time! I love my Ellie dresses and Charlotte dresses.

• I love this gingham dress! It looks so comfortable and perfect for Summer barbecues. Speaking of red gingham, I loveee this PJ Set too.

• My favorite straw hat is on sale for $24.99!

• Old Navy’s dresses are 50% off! I’ve got my eye on this scalloped edge dress and this maxie t-shirt dress.
